This news item dates back to the 3rd of July, but I didn't get wind of it until earlier in the week. Apparently, David Fincher has optioned the cool comic book series 'The Goon' with intentions of making a CG-animated film adaptation.

I am so happy to hear about this. Fincher's last film 'Zodiac' has turned into one of my favorite character films ever. I didn't love it at first (in fact She-Rene and I slept through portions of it on a late Friday showing). But since I got the dvd I have watched it several times and each time I feel more drawn into the obsessions of the lead characters. So, as long as Fincher avoids a 'Panic Room' on this project, it should be great.
