The New Yorker has a great piece on Alaskan politics and the rampant corruption that defines politics in the state.
In time Palin's involvement in such corruption will surely come out. You don't go from being mayor of Wasilla to governor without accepting lots of money from people who want things in return. And in Alaska those people are all oilmen.
