One of the oldest extant languages is extant no more. The last known speaker of the Bo language has passed away. Here is a story about her and the Andamanese people that live on islands in the Bay of Bengal. They are of presumed African origin given their skin tones and features and have likely been there for tens of thousands of years.

Bo was one of several languages spoken by the various Andamanese peoples. One other group the Sentinelese are described as the most isolated people on the planet, openly resisting any interaction with people outside of the island. You can read more about them below.

Wow, that is pretty crazy. I wonder how many other languages are just about ready to go extinct.
