A year and five days

It has been slightly longer than a year since I last posted. Hard to believe. I have undoubtedly placed too much pressure on myself when it comes to this blog. So, I am going to make an effort to just put something up here each day. One word a day at least (realistically every few days).

I read an interview with Jeff Smith (of Bone fame) yesterday. Reading about his creative process and relative success left me wanting. I came away from the article with a sense of the depth of my creative constipation. I need a glycerin suppository for the creative mind. The blog is just an attempt to get something out of myself. Maybe I can say something amusing or make a cogent point now and then.

I changed my desktop picture to a lol-dog pug dressed up like Batman. One lip slightly upturned to reveal a few teeth. Head cocked slightly sideways. Teary eyes reflecting the overcast sky above the park to which he has undoubtedly been dragged for display to snickering canus domesticus from the neighborhood whose mothers only made them wear t-shirts or leashes. In other words, the face of pure incredulity: "Why, mom, why have you put this costume on me and paraded me in front of my friends?"
